2026 Nucleus Colony, local ORHBS queen (50% deposit)

Our nucleus colonies are $265 each for the 2026 season. Please e-mail us directly at info[at]honeybeecompany[dot]ca for inquiries of 10+ nucs.

Our 4-frame nucs are made to the specifications of the Ontario Bee Breeders’ Association standards. Restoration Honey Bee Company is enrolled in the Ontario Resistant Honey Bee Selection (ORHBS) program, meaning our breeder queens are carefully selected for hygienic behaviour and disease-resistance. We also select for winter hardiness, calmness (“comb stability”), and gentle temperament. Our bees will be provincially inspected to ensure that they are disease-free.

Our 4 frame nucs include the following:

2 frames of brood

1 frame of food (honey and pollen)

1 frame of drawn out foundation for the bees to expand into

Adhering adult bees on all frames to tend to the hive

A marked ORHBS queen, either overwintered from 2025 (limited), or locally reared from 2026

1 nuc box for transport

50% reserves nuc; full payment required prior to pick-up

Anticipated pick-up dates are the weekends of May 30 and June 6, 2026 from Eganville, ON. 

$265 per nucleus colony. 50% deposit required on all nuc orders, by website order or Interac eTransfer (preferred)
